About You

Now one of the world’s most modern, tech-driven organisations, Ordnance Survey provides market-leading mapping, application and consumer outdoor products that help customers to make the most of the great outdoors. We are now looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to drive growth in our consumer business across both our retailer network and digital channels.  

This is a broad role where you will be responsible for leading the team on all marketing and communications activities as well as creating and delivering the marketing strategy to support the delivery of the Consumer Vision; to make outdoor activity enjoyable, accessible and safe.  

You will be tasked with planning, developing and managing activity that supports our growth ambitions.  Experienced in producing rolling plans that deliver optimised marketing campaigns or events, you will relish new challenges and opportunities.  

Accountable for a team of marketing professionals, a seven-figure budget and the consumer marketing strategy, you will clearly measure all marketing activity through a range of KPI’s ensuring ROI targets are set and met and that activity is continuously moving the business forward.  In addition, you will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the marketing for new product launches and initiatives as well as representing OS at industry events. 

Working with the PR team, you will also organise media activity and interest in OS, ensuring regular contact with target media and appropriate responses to media requests.

  • Financial and commercial awareness and experience managing large budgets is key

  • In depth knowledge of outdoor consumer products and market

  • Expert Marketing knowledge across a wide range of consumer media including ecommerce and retail

  • Expert knowledge of and proven track-record of data driven decision making

  • Excellent data interpretation and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and influencing skills

  • Experience of managing and growing teams

  • Proven track-record of delivering marketing performance and strong growth targets

  • Highly effective in key stakeholder management

  • A passion for adventure in the great outdoors
